1,100 words; about a 6 minute read

Mission: Mission 0 - Christening of Legacy and Crew Arrival
Location: Somewhere on Deck 4
Timeline: 2261.187 1500

Steffan wandered the Legacy corridors. He hated to admit it but he was lost. He tried to recall the directions to the Science lab. ’Take Corriodor 33 Baker then second left, third door on the right...’ he thought to himself. He was frustrated that he had gotten lost. The new Constitution Class ship was massive in comparison to the other ships he’d served on. “All this to hand deliver a scientific paper.” He muttered to himself.

Neza been wandering the ship...somewhat. She was trying to get used to the layout but frankly wasn't sure where she was. She wanted to get back to either to somewhere she recognized, or find someone who knew where she was. But, of course, she didn't find either. But her eyes caught someone, who looked as lost as she did. "Can't find where you're going either," she asked.

Haas sighed in defeat. “Nope, not a clue. Every deck, every section looks different! I just need to hand deliver this to the Science lab.”

"Well, you're somewhat lucky then, as I was the one you were supposed to be meeting to deliver that to. But," she motioned around them, "I'm a bit lost too. Thought I'd studied the layout enough but apparently not." She extended her hand, "Neza Glenn."

“Steffan Haas.” He replied with a smile and a nod. “So, it’s your fault I’m wandering around the ship to hand deliver this paper?”

Smirking with a fake gasp, she shook her head, "No, I was actually trying to get back to...somewhere. I'd take my quarters, labs, anything I recognize at this point. Maybe we can go get un-lost together instead of trying to find our ways ourselves?"

“I actually have no idea where I am to try and begin to get unlost. But I’m happy to follow you to where ever to get unlost.” Haas replied.

"That..sentence actually makes sense.." Neza said after a moment, realizing that she was in the same boat. "So, Steffan," she said as they started to walk down some random corridor, "I don't think we're anywhere near anything science, but..." she looked over at him, "I could be completely wrong."

“So...why are we walking this way then if you’re not sure?” He asked as he followed the Ensign’s lead. He couldn’t help but be drawn in my her beautiful eyes.

Her face flushed slightly, noticing Haas's eyes. "Um..because I came from the other way and where I wanted to be wasn't there." It was a horrible reasoning, but it was all she could come up with.

Haas shrugged his shoulders but continued to follow then Ensign. He was curious as to why her face flushed. Had he made it to obvious that he found her eyes intriguing or was there something about him and intrigued her. “So how long have you been aboard?”

“Not even a week,” she said, glancing over to him. Had he noticed her face flushing? It was easy to see likely with her blonde hair. Biting her lip, she slowed up a little so she wasn’t a step ahead like she felt she was. She caught his eye for only a moment before looking down at the floor. “Er..what about you?”

’Lip biting’ Thought Haas as a smile crept onto his face. Interesting “I arrived last night, I’m still getting to grips with everything. The Comms station had been overloaded with messages hence why I’m trying to get through them all and deliver them to the right people. It’s easier said than done with a ship this size.” He said as they walked. “So, what’s a pretty little lady like you doing on a big ship like this? I’m guessing you like a good challenge?”

Eyes going wide, Neza glanced over at the comment. “I um...” she tried to formulate words, but got caught up looking at the comm officer. “Science challenge, um...yes..” Get a grip, Neza, since when do you stammer?

“You ok, Ensign?” Haas asked, still smirking. “You seem very distracted?”

“I could ask you the same, Lieutenant,” she said, nodding to the smirk, “That look hasn’t left your face really since we started talking.” Her own smirk appeared.

Steffan stopped her, “I’m sorry but can I just say. You have the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen.” He said, looking into her Hazel eyes. His gaze then turned to her red lips, he just had an urge to kiss them. He lend in and passionately kissed her.

About to say something about his comment on her eyes, Neza found herself caught up in a passionate kiss. But she didn’t push him away, instead embracing it. She pulled away a time later, breathing heavily. “Maybe...here isn’t the best place...”

Steffan breathed heavily, “Your probably right. I’m sorry, that shouldn’t of happened.”

“Don’t apologize, Steffan,” she said quietly and kissed his cheek before looking around. “Maybe we can find somewhere a bit more...private?” She was starting to recognize where they were and a grin crossed her face.

Haas’ eyes lit up when he heard the word private. He quickly scanned the area for somewhere quiet and spotted to right place. “Come with me.” He said in a hushed tone and took Neza’s hand and headed for a door which read ’Deck 4 Stores’ on it.

She let out a smirk when she saw where he was going but tugged back on his hand. “Got a better place, now that I figured out where we are...” She nodded down to the turbolift. “Quick lift ride to a nearby deck...” Where did this come from, Neza? Inviting him back to your place and you just met him!

Steffan shook his head, “No time.” He said in a hushed tone with a smirk. The door to stores slid open. “Plenty of room.” He said, pulling Neza inside.

Not fighting against him pulling her, she quickly shut the door behind her and made sure it locked. “Plenty,” she whispered before her lips locked onto his.

Haas kissed Neza passionately before starting to pull her top off. “You smell amazing.” He said in short breaks for air.

Putting a finger to his lips, Neza pulled his shirt off and pushed him to the wall, not bothering with any talking.

With a smirk, Steffan pulls Neza in close for a kiss before reaching for the lights to play in the dark...
