Personal History		Steffan Haas was born in 2236 to Abraham and Julie Haas. He is the eldest of two sons born to them. He was raised in Germany, where is parents were professors of science and language at the University of Munich. In 2254, Steffan joined Starfleet Academy. He chose to major in languages and diplomacy. In his final year at the Academy, he took Command training as he was put forward for it by Captain Pike. Cadet Haas graduated at the top of his class in 2258. He was promoted to Ensign and assigned to the USS Agamemnon as Communications specialist. Four months later Nero destroyed Vulcan. An event which changed Steffan’s life as his father was attending a science symposium. He was killed along with the other 6 billion souls who was on Vulcan at the time. Due to the heavy losses taken by Starfleet, Haas’s career moved quickly. In 2259, he was promoted to Lieutenant JG and assigned to the USS Colossus as assistant Chief Communications Officer. Steffan was then promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to the newly commissioned USS Legacy in 2261 as her Chief Communications Officer.
