Mission:
Mission 1 - Klingons on Starboard Bow
Location: Cole's Quarters
Timeline: 2261.188 1900
Neza had left Bec's quarters, all worked up from things that probably shouldn't have happened. But, none the less, they did. She knew she shouldn't have made out with Bec, but there was just something that had her wanting to do so. However, unlike last time, she couldn't bring herself to go any further. Instead, she left, but still felt riled up. She had a want, a need, one that could only be fulfilled by one person.
Stopping at Cole's door, she bounced on her feet a little, hoping he was there.
The door opened, and there stood Cole. "Hey, Neza.." He had to force a smile, a convincing one, but forced never the less. It wasn't in his eyes. He moved to the side. "Please come in."
Frowning slightly, Neza stopped her bouncing and stepped inside, waiting for the door to close again before saying anything. "Cole? What is it?"
He had started walking away and now turned halfway back. He eyed her intently. "I'm just a little surprised that you're here."
"Why would you be surprised I"m here?" She followed but stayed a few steps behind, not sure quite what was going on.
He turned the rest of the way and came back towards her. "Well, besides the fact we didn't make any plans, I heard a rumour that you were dating someone else." He looked down at her with very little space between them. "Is that true?"
Damnit... she thought to herself as she looked down for a moment before looking back to him. "I know we didn't have plans, but I wanted to come see you." She bit her lip, trying to think how to explain things. "Never actually was dating anyone else. I...had a bit of fun with someone else, but we talked about it and agreed to just be friends, nothing more." Shaking her head, it still sounded horrible.
"At the same time you were having a little fun with me..." he realized, and exhaled out a breath, shaking his head as he walked away again. "I get it, Neza. Really. But I only date one person at a time and I don't share."
"No, Cole," Neza said, her voice sounding defeated. She knew she'd screwed up. "Before our date last night, and we were only having fun... And then I went to talk to them tonight, letting them know I wanted to just be friends...and knew I wanted to be here with you, not there. I.." She had to tell him, she didn't want to keep secrets from him, it wasn't right. "We..I won't deny we didn't...make out a little..but I pulled away. It didn't feel right. We were going to just watch a movie and eat."
She didn't move her feet, but didn't dare look at him either. She'd done things she knew she shouldn't have, and now felt absolutely horrible.
Cole had winced at her confession, and his brow furrowing, ended up looking a little hurt. He was feeling it too. "It sounds like she's still in your system...and I'm...what?" he gave a mock shrug, "plan B?" Then he exhaled again, looking down towards the floor too. Wow.. he thought, shaking his head at his own reaction.
Backing towards whatever wall was behind her, she let her back hit it and slid down into a sitting position, pulling her knees up to her chest. What the hell did I do she asked herself, not daring to looking back at him yet again. "I..planned the date with you first. Things just..happened. I didn't plan on it happening, I'd never done anything like it before. It was my being stupid." Had her little 2 night spontaneous caused her to lose the one person she actually did care about?
Looking up as she has started to slide down, Cole had lifted an eyebrow and it all sinking in, decided to join her. "Actually, I understand," he said, sitting down beside her. "I use to be polyamorous when it came to dating, only...I planned on it. I had a lot of fun until I realized the hard way that it... just wasn't for me." He sighed and looked over to her, "You didn't know this, Neza. And we've only had one date, so you didn't owe me any explanation."
Looking at him as he came over and sat down next to her, Neza dared to let her head lay against his shoulder. "I still should have told you, Cole. And what happened tonight...I shouldn't have let it happen. I want to be here, with you. I don't want you to think that you're sharing me, because you aren't. You aren't my plan B and you never will be." She finally looked over and let her eyes lock to his, but she looked nearly on the verge of tears.
Oh no... He reached over and gently wiped a tear, that had managed to escape, away with his thumb. "It's a nice thought, saying I never will be. I think..we should try to get to know each other better...you know, besides the sex?"
Giving a soft smile, Neza nodded, putting a hand up to his cheek. "Here I thought you'd want me to leave, after...you know. That you'd be angry and not want anything to do with me." She sighed. "You still want me here?"
He nodded, "Yeah...I do," and decided to show her by leaning down to give her a kiss.
Caught off guard by the kiss, especially considering what they were discussing since she'd gotten there, she still shifted so she could face him and return the kiss. As with every other time they'd kissed, her arms slowly started to wrap around him.
Then he was pulling her onto his lap until she straddled him, which wasn't easy with the length of both their legs and being on the floor. He suddenly broke the kiss, and keeping their faces close, spoke to her softly, "Tell me something about you that I don't already know."
Neza bit her lip, something he didn't already know? A grin crossed her face as she adjusted a bit on his lap. "I started and finished security training at the Academy. Though my privileges were revoked for a time due to fighting." She kissed his forehead gently, "You're turn."
"Oh wow...okay...well.." He thought about it, unable to help but think about how his last girlfriend had been in security. "I don't know if you know this already or not, but..." he had to grimace, "my dad is an Admiral."
"You mean that man who I saw by you after the incident at the ceremony? Thought you two looked alike." She smiled and shifted a bit on his lap again. "Knew he was related somehow. But, don't go worrying about the security thing with me, rather stick to science anyways." She kissed the tip of his nose. "What else do you want to know about me," she asked, leaning down with a mischievous smile, nibbling along his neck a little.
Suddenly unable to think, Cole had closed his eyes. "Um.. where is..uhhh, the...craziest place you've ever had..." he groaned, swapping out what he really wanted to know to, "made out...at?" Despite his brain being short circuited by her trailing kisses, he had mildly wondered if he should show some restraint. Some sort of cosmic karma balance of whatever.
“Mmm, you mean besides right here?” Neza asked with a smirk. She could tell he was distracted, and giggled, but kept at his neck as she spoke. “Was sixteen. Summer holiday, parents didn’t want us having anyone over. They went out, as did my siblings. He had to escape through my bedroom window. Not a crazy place but...best I got.” She debated asking him a question, but could tell he was having fun with what she was doing, so she kept it up.
"Mmm...so Cloak 'n dagger. " Cole turned his head, greedily claiming her mouth. He pulled her tightly to him, then pushed up with his legs and flipped them. Now she was pressed into the carpet beneath him. He turned his kiss from her mouth to her neck, giving it the same hungry attention.
"You could say that," she whispered before her own lips met his. She didn't let her lips move as he changed their positions, but the moment he went after her neck, her eyes closed slowly. "Cole...mmmm...how is it you find my weak spots..."
Cole pulled back to look at her, his eyes taking in each of her features. He smiled softly, his eyes meeting and holding hers. "I don't know... Maybe because we were made for each other?"
Reaching up, Neza allowed her hand to run gently across his cheek. She kept her eyes locked to his, biting her lip at what he had said. "You...think we were made for each other?" She felt her heart leap up into her throat a bit, and her hand slowly went up and ran through his hair.
"I...I'm not sure." He smiled, "How about we find out."
To be continued...
