Dr Alec Toten. The untested psychiatrist was packing up a few things from his "office" at Starfleet Academy. It was really more like a large cubicle he had before he was supposed to report to the USS Legacy. A Constitution class. Alec was smiling at that. "Only the best for mama Toten's baby boy." He laughed.

He'd just gotten to a picture of him as a cadet with his buddies when he heard the chime go off. "Who could that be?" he mumbled to himself. "It's open!" he called out.

Wearing her sleeveless gold miniskirt duty uniform, Cindy strutted into the doctor's office. Her platinum gold locks flowed easily and beyond her shoulders, moving along with her. The duty boots that she wore, nearly coming to her knees only emphasized her six feet in height, making her appear more statuesque than perhaps she was. Her eyes were gleaming green and her smile was bright.

"There you are!" Cindy said with merriment in her voice. "Thought you could hide from me, did you? That would never do! I want to get to know everyone on my ship, especially one of my counselors. How are you settling in?"

Alec looked up. He was relaxed by her demeanor, however, so he grinned . "Just organizing a few things." He looked at her rank. "Commander." He smiled as he sipped up his bag.

"Oh, please!" she said with a pleasant chuckle. "Just call me Cindy. This is not an official visit. I find ranks to compromise relationships. But, if you must use a rank, Captain Cindy would be just fine."

Casually Cindy took in her surroundings and paused for a moment before she continued. "I believe you are Alec, is that correct? I have so many names to remember."

"That's me, I guess." Alec said. He smiled. He just left his bag sitting there for the moment. "Cindy, cool." he said. "Same here. No need for "Doctor Toten" when Alec will do."

"That's you, you guess? You're not sure of who you are, Alec?" she giggled lightly, making the room feel brighter. Inspecting Alec's face carefully, Cindy noticed his scar above his right eye. "Please tell me there's a good story behind that." She casually pointed upwards towards the scar.

"Well, it's a story at least." He chucked. "I think it was my third year of the academy. We we're sent too a remote colony near the border of federation space. Apparently the planet was populated unbeknownst to the rest of us."

"We're a bunch of medical cadets, what do we know, right? Anyway. They were all nice and everything. And they communicate by hugging. Which is alright with thier own kind. Razors everywhere. Bad for humanoids." He laughed.

Cindy laughed freely, as well. "I hope that those razors did not cut anything else. Could be disappointing for potential progeny."

He laughed. "You ain't lying. Got a big scar on my thigh, but it missed the..vital areas." He was grinning.

Shaking her head, Cindy told Alec, "I think that you need to work on your war stories. In any case, is there anything that I can do to make your job any easier? I'm aware that dedicated counselors on starships are a pilot program and I am anxious to see how that will work out."
