Ayden knew the meeting would go long, that didn't surprise him. The bridge felt unusually quiet, but that didn't matter either. Everyone was busy, and they were in uncharted territory. But he felt out of place not being in engineering, and instead being in command.

However, he soon heard someone's console go off, but he wasn't sure who's it was. A voice came from somewhere on the bridge. "Lieutenant, we're intercepting some type of communication, can't tell who it is meant for." Letting out a heavy sigh, he sat forward. "Audio or visual?"

Neza heard what was happening and looked to see if she could tell on sensors where it was coming from, then looked over to Ayden and shrugged, not getting anything off the scans.

The voice spoke again. "Visual only. It looks like a...a picture?" Ayden raised an eyebrow. "Just a picture? Put it up on the viewscreen." A moment later, the image appeared, but it didn't look like anything he'd seen before.

"Who in the hell?" Ayden stated as he stood up, trying to get a better look at the picture. Neza turned in her chair and looked over as well. "I don't recognize the species. I can try running it through the database if you want me to."

With a nod, Ayden look over his shoulder. "Do it, Glenn. Let me know if anything comes up. In the mean time..." he hit the com on the arm of the chair. "Bridge to Jackson. Ma'am, you might want to get up here, we've just intercepted something I think you should see."
