Having been staring at it for long enough, Cole finally pulled himself away from the image on his monitor screen and hit the intercom switch on his desk. "Ah..Medical to Captain Cin..Cynthia Jackson." He winced at the way he did that.
Nearly instantly, the med bay comm rang out, =/\= I told you, Doctor, if you must, call me Captain Cindy. =/\= Her voice was lyrical and cheerful. Behind it, one could almost sense a giggle. =/\= What can I do for you, Doctor? =/\=
He blew out some breath. "Well, how about some company," he managed to smile. Sometimes she made it easy and sometimes she didn't. "I can fit you in for that physical now."
=/\= Very well, Doctor. Did you want me to come down there or did you want to meet me here?=/\=
"Uhh..." he looked uncertain, "where is here?"
=/\= My office at the moment. Heaps of paperwork, you know? =/\=
"Ahh, yeah, I get that. I'll come to you."
Okay... Placing his hands on the edge of his desk, Cole pushed himself away. You can do this, Dering. he encouraged himself. "Sure you can.." he said out loud, rising out of his seat, grabbing a medical tricorder on his way out the door.
A short time later, he carefully peered inside her office and grinned. "Hey."
Cindy had a stylus in her hand, working on a PADD. "Cole!" she enthused. "Welcome to my office. I guess it is only fair you meet me here since I met you in yours yesterday. Where would you like me?" she inquired.
Beaming at her greeting, Cole thought about it. Seeing there was room on her desk, decided, placing his hand on it, "How about you sit here. It would make it easier."
"As you wish, Doctor." Once again, wearing her gold miniskirt uniform, she rose from behind her desk, walked to the side and then sat on top of the desk near Cole. The shortness of the skirt teased as to what lie beneath it. "Will this do? Or do you need me to readjust?" She crossed her legs as if to emphasize her point.
Having watched her every movement, Cole's mouth opened and then he smiled, "It'll do...but I'd like you to be comfortable...." He looked up to her face, "Are you?"
"As comfortable as one can be on a desk," Cindy told Cole with a wink and a smile. "Are you?" she inquired.
"Uhh.." He had to look downwards, and angling his head, he quietly laughed, before releasing a breath. "As comfortable as I can be." He returned her smile, and still looking at her, pulled out of the small rod from his medical tricorder. "You do realize I can only do a partial physical here in your office?" he asked as he went to work scanning her.
Cindy shrugged. "If you want me to come to your place, I will," Cindy answered matter-of-fact. "I have no desire to make your job any more difficult, though I do appreciate the special treatment." She watched the doctor and his tricorder interested.
My place?? Cole paused to stare at her, with not much personal space between them, before common sense told him she was referring to his office or sickbay. "It's no problem," he smiled, his blue eyes staring into the ever changing color of hers. "It only means doing a stress test later on."
"Probably best to get a baseline now before something happens, don't you think?" she asked innocently. "And, if you already have the time...." She stared back down at the Doctor, "So, how are my vitals, Doctor? I trust that you are finding that I'm in decent shape."
Cole had raised an eyebrow. In his mind, his hands had been working his way up her inner thighs, his mouth had been about to meet hers, when he heard her last question. Huh? he felt lost and then comprehended what it was she was saying. “Oh...oh yeah, most definitely.” he looked quickly down at her readings, “Um...well...yeah, you are." In perfect shape, actually He looked back up to her, and managed to smile assuredly. "Unfortunately..the best place for the exercise stress test is in Sickbay, but there's still time for that.”
"Very well," Cindy said, "Let's go, then. I would not want to keep a stress test waiting." She bounced off of the desk and started making her way towards the door.
"Whoa...!" he reached the door before her. "What about all the paperwork?" He looked concerned.
"It can wait," she said with a shrug. "This is the perfect time for a stress test. Nothing bothering me yet. You will get a great baseline and I get to spend time with you! Come on, Doctor. Let's go have fun!"
"Um...Okay," he said. And although he was trying not to worry, he couldn't help but smile, for there was just something about Cindy that made it hard to say no. "If you're sure, well then, let's go."
"I'm positive!" Cindy practically bounded out the door, believing that the Doctor was following. She then waited for the Doctor in the turbolift, and took it down to the med bay with the Doctor. "This is going to be so much fun," she told the Doctor.
"I'm glad you think so..." Cole looked at her with a mixture of amusement and confusion.
When they entered Sickbay, he lead her over to a shorter than the normal examination biobed, one that was equipped for cardiac stress testing, and motioned for a nurse to bring him one of their medical datapads. "Would you like to change first?" he asked. Although the miniskirts were normally worn with very short shorts underneath, not all of the female officers were comfortable with that.
Cindy threw back her hair, laughed and asked the Doctor, "Do you say that to all the pretty ladies?" Without waiting to see his reaction, she said, "I don't need to change unless you think I should."
His mind having taken it the wrong way, Cole looked guilty. "Well, I..." recovering, he cleared his throat and then smiled, "Oh no..no, you're fine, Cindy. So...how about we just get this started." He gestured for her to get onto the biobed.
Cindy bounced up onto the biobed and then asked in her perkiest voice, "So, do you want me to sit up here like this or..." she demonstrated as she did it, "lie down like this?" She craned her neck to look at the Doctor's reaction.
"Well, uh.." he tried not to laugh, "I need you to lie down, but with your head at the other end so your facing the wall." His eyes narrowed, "haven't you ever done this before?"
"Lie down with my head facing the wall?" Cindy asked. "Oh, I'm sure that I've done it more than once," she replied with a giggle.
Oh, I'm sure you have, Cole thought. Needing to, he cleared his throat, pushing the images caused by that out of his mind. And he smiled, reaching over to touch on a wall panel, releasing two foot pedals that Cindy would exercise on as if she were riding a bike. "Okay, anytime you're ready."
"I was born ready!" Cindy jumped right into it and started peddling merely. She enjoyed workouts, so this was hardly a stress. She started peddling at a brisk but steady pace. "Would you like me to push it?" she asked with a smile. "I could hit it harder, if you would like."
Looking at some readings, Cole rubbed at his forehead, "Well..." he almost chuckled, "yeah. We can start with whatever pace you feel comfortable with."
"I'm comfortable at any pace. Slow...." She slowed her pace to show the Doctor and then sped up as she said, "Fast...." Cindy then moved to consistent pace. "Whatever. See? I love a good workout!"
"Hmm, I can see that," he said with an almost far away look, and then had to force himself to look at the readings. "So, ah...how about slowing down again."
"Too fast for you?" Cindy asked, grinning from ear to ear. Obediently, she slowed down. "How's this pace for you?"
Cole laughed. "Perfect. As is your heart, Captain Cindy. You can stop now."
Cindy obediently stopped. "My heart?" She clutched it and said, "You're so sweet, Doctor. Now that you have taken this special time for me, is there anything that I can do for you?"
Pressing on the panel, causing the pedals to retreat back into the wall, Cole released a breath. Knowing it was best not to say the first thing that had crossed his mind, he gave her a shrug. "I'm not sure. I'll need to think about it."
Cindy laughed at that. "Clearly, you have been extremely busy. I am pleased that you found time to squeeze me in, though."
"I'm really glad I found the time too," he smiled back to her, leaning in a little.
"You have a lovely smile, Doctor," Cindy told him honestly. "Is there anything else that you require of me, now?"
"Hmmm, not right now..." Cole replied, a little thoughtfully. "Perhaps I'll think of something...some other time." He pulled away. "And you're free to go."
Giving Cole a pretty pout, Cindy answered, "Racquetball league, perhaps?" as she reached the door.
Oh..! Cole thought, caught off guard by that and with an expression to match. He raised an eyebrow, not only for his interest in sports, but for the image of her in the appropriate sports outfit too. "Yeah," he grinned, count me in."
"Wonderful!" she said with a genuine smile. "I will sign you up." She flung her hair around just as she turned and exited, giving him a final glance and an extended glance at her rear as she left.
