Mission: Mission 2 - Love ORION Mistaken
Location: Captain's Quarters

Cindy was not happy. She had read the morning reports and found Jane's name all over them. Yet, Neza was convinced, based on her reports that there was nothing wrong with Jane and Vivyra as a couple. She scratched her head absentmindedly. Something was not adding up. Perhaps she needed another opinion. She called on her comm and said, =^= Commander Hudson and Petty Officer T'Kal, this is Captain Cindy. Please report to my quarters immediately. =^=

Petty Officer T’Kal arrived at the Captain’s door just as the XO turned the corner of the corridor. “Good morning, Commander. I expect we both know what this is about?”

Grumbling into her coffee, Bec made her way to the Captain's quarters. When she arrived she nodded to T'Kal. "Morning. And most likely," she said as she came to a stop next to the nurse. Without waiting, she reached up and hit the button to ring the chime. "May as well get it over with," she said withe a shrug before taking a sip of her coffee."

“Indeed,” T’Kal replied as she stood in front of the door.

Once the officers rang the chime, Cindy told them to come in. Once inside, she directed them to tables and chairs. "Thank you very much for coming. I think we need to talk and I suspect you both know what about."

"If I guess, do I get a prize?" Bec asked with a cheeky smile that faded quickly back into a grim expression. "I'm thinking it's to do with one Jane Sinclair?"

"No prize, but yes," Cindy confirmed, her eyes a deep hazel, a short ring of green surrounded by brown. "I do not like this kind of mystery, Bec. I have a report her from Neza suggesting that everything is normal with her and Vivyra, discounting your concerns. I then have Security's reports and the Ticker Tape which gives credence to yours. I need some theories and solutions."

“We’ve analyzed her blood in sickbay,” T’Kal answered. “Elevated levels of several hormones, consistent with her extreme lust and aggression. We’ve identified no cause though.”

Cindy closed her eyes and said, "This makes no sense at all. Jane was supposed to test Vivyra. So was Neza. I don't know if Neza actually did. Did Vivyra have anything on her when she came on board? Have the transporter logs been checked for foreign substances? It should have filtered them out, though." Cindy threw back her platinum blonde hair behind her head and blew air upwards at her bangs.

"And the crew.... What about all these comments about Vivyra? Is there something airborne?"

"It doesn't necessarily have to be airborne," Bec said, looking to T'Kal for affirmation on her theory. "I mean, Vivyra's very touchy-feely, she could be doing something? Or it could be something completely different and we're blaming an innocent woman. I don't like this situation. I don't like not knowing what is going on nor how I can protect my crew from it!"

"Nor do I," Cindy echoed. Her dark hazel eyes looked over at the Vulcan, hoping that she had some suggestions.

“Perhaps,” T’Kal offered, “in order to rule out that Vivyra is spreading something, whether airborne or by touch, she be isolated? It may seem extreme, especially if she is innocent, but ensuring she touches nothing might either solve our problem, or exonerate her. Her quarters, with guards that are not attracted to women, might be appropriate.”

Cindy snickered. "I may have just the person for that...." Her eyes lightened a bit. "Our PR/communications officer just might fit that bill."

“You are referring to Lieutenant Thornton?” T’Kal asked. “I have not yet met him. You believe he will be appropriate?”

Bec practically cackled at the thought. "Oh that's evil! I love it!" She said with a wicked grin. "Thornton has been a thorn in our sides since he joined us! It would be peeeeerfect for him to be stuck with her!"

"Admiral Wheeler's very obvious spy, even if Eric does not understand it." Cindy shrugged apologetically. "Should I call him in?"

"I am prepared to brief him on health and safety," T'Kal replied. "However, I would request that he not be shown information regarding the current state of Doctor Sinclair. If he is a spy, as you say, then her career might be jeopardized if her were to report it along his channels."

"That seems like the best idea." Cindy looked back at Bec. "Should I bring him in?"

"Yeah, I can't wait to see his reaction to this," Bec said, the wicked grin still plastered on her face.
