Mission 2 - Love ORION Mistaken
Location: Lieutenant Haas’ Quarters

“What do you mean in your opinion she’s doing a good job?” Wheeler said as he slammed his fist down on his desk. ”I put you there to feed me information so I could build up enough evidence to get Jackson removed, not for you to support her.”
Haas shrugged his shoulders, “She may be informal and can be a little over the top. She’s a good Commanding Officer, in my humble opinion.”
The Admiral growled, “Looks like I'll need to find a new Comms person for Legacy. The current one has gone soft.”
“Forgive me, Admiral, but you are trying to find something which is not there. Her Command style is unorthodox but it works. She has the loyalty of the crew including me.” Steffan replied. “Of course, you can remove me from Legacy at your leisure but if that happens I’ll inform Captain Jackson of what you’re up to.”
“It doesn’t matter what you tell her. I will have her stripped of command. There’s nothing you can do to stop that.” Wheeler replied before taking a puff of his cigar.
“Did I mention I’m recording this Communication, Admiral? Call it my insurance to your pathetic meddling.” The Lieutenant said as he folded his arms with a satisfying smile on his face.
The Admiral roared with laughter, “You really are a little brat aren’t you. You think I wouldn’t use a scrambling matrix to stop my Comms from being tapped and recorded.”
“And you assigned the best Communications Officer in Starfleet to spy on the Captain on the Legacy. You really think I wouldn’t know how to bypass that protocol?” Haas replied, his smile turning into a smirk.
“What?!” Wheeler shouted. “You dare blackmail me! I’ll have your commission, lad!”
“Hardly, Admiral. We’ll continue as we have done. We’re only one mission into Captain Jackson’s captaincy, there maybe more opportunities to see if she shows her true colours.” Haas replied, in a neutral tone.
Wheeler considered the Lieutenant’s words for a few moments. “Very well, keep your insurance. Cross me again and you’ll need it, but for now continue as you have done.”
“Agreed Admiral.” Haas gave a curt nod. “If there’s nothing else, I’ll leave you to continue your day. But before you go, I must remind you to be careful when contacting Federation Diplomat’s, you never know who might be watching.”
“What?!” Barked Wheeler before the screen went dead. Haas smirked as he saved the transmission to his personal files. ‘That should keep him at bay for now.’ He thought to himself as he rose from his desk in his quarters. ‘Should I tell the Captain about Admiral Wheeler or not…’
