Previously...

Reaching up, Neza allowed her hand to run gently across his cheek. She kept her eyes locked to his, biting her lip at what he had said. "You...think we were made for each other?" She felt her heart leap up into her throat a bit, and her hand slowly went up and ran through his hair.

"I...I'm not sure." He smiled, "How about we find out."

Continuing...

Eyes going slightly wide, Neza stumbled through a few words before something finally came out clearly. “I...what do you mean?”

"Hmmm, well there's this.." he leaned in and claimed her mouth again.

Not able to say anything before Cole's lips met her own, the wideness of her eyes quickly vanished as they closed. Everything felt so right being there with him. She still wasn't quite sure what he meant by finding out if they were made for each other. But she was never going to say no to what he was doing in that moment. Her teeth tugged at his lip ever so slightly as she smiled beneath the kiss.

Cole smiled too and slowly broke the kiss. "Yeah..." he had to pause, shifting himself as the warmth between them was getting warmer, "there's uh...there's also spending time with each other...doing other things. So...what types of 'other things' do you like to do?"

Her mind was a blur at that moment, but Neza knew she had to come up with something, right? "Um...other things..." she thought as she shifted underneath him, enjoying the warmth that was building. "Not a fair question," she whispered as she still tried to think. "Star charts...experiments in the labs...work out in the gym..." she bit her lip at that last one, remembering how this whole conversation started.

Having to breathe in deep at the mention of the gym, Cole lightly nodded, his amusement having left. "Okay..." he exhaled and forced himself to focus on her pretty face, "besides the latter, anything else outside your department area?"

"I..shouldn't have brought up the last one...I'm sorry, Cole." She shook her head and let out a heavy sigh. "Um..attempting to cook? I'm horrible at it."

"Ohhh," he angled his head and smiled again, "I happen to be great at it. I'll have to figure out a way to make you dinner sometime...and it's okay, Neza..." He rubbed the tip of their noses in an Eskimo kiss. "I'll work through it."

Unable to contain a giggle at the Eskimo kiss, she nodded slightly. "Maybe teach me to make something other than a sandwich?" Neza shifted them slightly so she could wrap her arms around him, running a hand through his hair gently. You shouldn't have to work through it she thought to herself as she looked into his eyes, obviously lost in her own thoughts.

Looking curious, his eyes searched hers. "What's happening?" he asked softly, "What are you thinking?"

"I just..you shouldn't have to try to work through it, Cole. I shouldn't have...and I still feel horrible for making you go through it." She moved so she could somewhat sit up and put her hand against his cheek. "You didn't deserve me doing that." She bit her lip. "Not going to keep anything from you anymore...going to tell you how I'm feeling."

Cole pulled back more, sitting on his legs. "I’m glad to hear that," he said gently, placing his hand over hers, "I’m good, we’re good."

Unable to contain a smile, and a stray tear that hit her cheek, Neza leaned in and let her lips meet his once more. Hearing him say that they were good made her melt against him.
