General News - Status Update - March, 2019 Edition

The following is a news item from Commander Cynthia Lynette Jackson a/k/a Captain Cindy.

Welcome to Legacy’s third 2019 Status Update! I will be sending these out on the first of the month (give or take a few days) to give an overview of everything that happened in the month before and of what our goals are for the upcoming month.

Crew

This was a more normal month. There were no new crew but we finally dropped our ELOA character, Lieutenant Naryi Avonavi

Website

Big thank yous to Steve who added some features to our website, including complete schematics of our ship. We're going to continue improving upon the site to make it attractive and informative for all. I will be having XO create a Wiki for us while I just try to become competent at Nova. I know she has some other projects in the works, so please bear with us here.

Sim

We ramped our activity back towards our old levels, getting 18 posts in. As of this post, we are one published post away from 100 for the sim. Thank you to everyone for your creativity. According to stats, we're on pace for over 30 this month. Let's make it happen!

Mission Recap

Legacy successfully tracked the Romulan ship into Klingon space. Once there, the Klingons were notified and joined in (only after the proof of a Romulan ship could be shown to them) on destroying the Romulan ship, but not before the Romulans took a plasma weapon pot shot at the Klingons. The Romulan vessel tried to self destruct and hold Legacy by tractor beam but Legacy broke hold and warped out just in time.

It is now some time later and Legacy has witnessed a unique scene. A woman claiming to be in distress and being shot at by two Orion vessels asked for amnesty. Legacy barely beamed the woman onto itself. She was an Orion and immediately tranquilized by the doctor, who treated her for smoke inhalation and burns. In the meantime, the two Orion ships chasing her turned on each other and destroyed each other.

When she woke a day later, the woman identified herself as Vivyra. Despite Orion women normally causing adverse reactions in females, Jane felt nothing of the sort from Vivyra. Vivyra told her, Cindy and Bec that she was a captive on a planet. She escaped from it, where her schoolmates still reside. She wants to find them but is not sure of their location. She seems as puzzled by the Orions destroying themselves as the Legacy crew.

Objectives

Investigate the destruction of the Orion ships. Politely interrogate Vivyra as to her home and to determine if she is all that she professes to be.

Player of the Month

Although we were having a death match in a caged ring to determine it for Legacy this month between our winner, Lieutenant/Doctor Jane Sinclair and our nearly traitorous Lieutenant Steffan Haas, Jane had 10 post entries to Steffan’s 11, all of quality for both writers. So, for this month, where Legacy had 18 posts, Steffan wins. I suppose that it is only fair that the Chief Communication Officer loves to communicate.

BFMS

Most of you have already done this but one still has not. If you are one of the people who has not, please register your character at the below site and assign them to USS Legacy, Task Force 64. Bravo Fleet and the Task Force would like as many people on there as possible, as would I.

Ideas

If anyone has any ideas for character development or even some subplots, share them with us. I know that my door, as well as my XO’s are always open. Any questions, comments, or issues, please don’t hesitate to contact the Command team. We are here for you!

That’s it for this month’s Status Update! Let's keep up the great work! I can hardly wait to sim more with all of you! I have big plans! Big evil, er, plans! Yes, big good plans! That's the ticket!
