Mission 2 - Love ORION Mistaken

Cindy watched T'Kal leave and then sighed heavily. "Tell me what part of everything that is going on with this ship in the last few days makes sense to you, Bec."
"None of it," Bec said rubbing the back of her head. "Not one ounce of it. Ever since we found Vivyra, nothing has made sense."
"I feel like we should be able to figure out what's going on. What's the phrase for this? Things seem to have gone sideways since a little bit after she got on board." She licked her lips thoughtfully. "I'm definitely going to need that game of racquetball with Luke today."
She watched Cindy lick her lips and bit on the inside of her own to stop herself from saying something flirty. Then, she caught what Cindy said afterwards. "Oh? Specifically with Luke?" Bec grinned, unable to stop herself. "You really like playing with him, don't you? It's a shame you won't play with me that way," she teased.
"We haven't played yet, Bec. Either on racquetball or anything else." Cindy then threw back her platinum blonde hair and asked, "I can't have been that obvious, can I?" she purred. "God, Bec.... I don't know what it is. I just.... Well, he's hot!" She blushed lightly.
Bec grinned. "You're fawning over him," she pointed out. "Maybe the others won't catch on, but I know that look," she added. Shifting in her seat she yawned and stretched. "I do think that we need to be careful though, with Vivyra, I mean," she said with a sigh. "We don't know what is going on yet, and far too many of the crew seem to be enthralled with her. It's not going to be easy sorting out what's going on."
“Part of the problem with being the Captain, Bec, is even if you find someone interesting to be with, well, there’s that whole power and control thing in the way. You don’t want to put anyone in a position of being forced. Then again, those no harm in dropping a few hundred hints, right?” She laughed. “God, I can probably tell you the last time I felt this way and it has been a very long time. He’s just scrumptious.”
Cindy tried shaking her head free of Luke. As to Vivyra, “I agree. It isn’t easy sorting this out. It should be, though.” She smiled and sighed. “I’ll let you figure out what’s best with Vivyra and Jane for now. I will visit Jane to make my own assessment. I just can’t believe that she did these things.”
"Neither can I." Bec sighed and rubbed the back of her neck as though trying to massage out a knot. "There is something wrong with her, but T'Kal and I cannot figure it out. I'm worried about her, this is completely out of character for Jane. For now, I'm going to keep her in the brig, for her own safety as much as for the crew's. For Vivyra, I don't know what to do about that yet. For now I am just waiting for more information on her; hopefully Thornton being with her will give us some answers."
Snorting a chuckle, Cindy responded, "Yes, to be a fly on that wall.... What I wouldn't give to see how that works out for both of them!"
"To be a fly on any wall in this ship would be interesting," Bec pointed out. She shook her head and sighed. "But yes, it would be interesting to see how that interaction goes!"
"A fly on any wall?" Cindy asked blinking. "Do you know something that I shouldn't know?"
"That a lot of your officers are having... relations... with each other?" Be shrugged. "And I'm a security officer, knowing everything about this ship would be interesting to me!"
"If the Ticker Tape is any indication, there seems to be a lot of it. As long as it doesn't effect crew efficiency, why should I care?" she asked rhetorically. "I want everyone to be happy."
"I only care for the possible bad breakups. Knowing who is dating whom makes things easier when fights arise," Bec said with a shrug. "As for happy, I like when everyone is happy as well. Both on a personal level and on a professional one. My job is much easier when we're not in danger and the crew is happy," she grinned cheekily.
"I just can't wait to find something truly unique to study. I mean, isn't that what we're all about? Discovery?" She smiled widely, showing her pearly whites. "Well, for now, we will see how Eric handles our Orion guest. Unless you have anything else, Bec...."
"Well, since you won't play with me, I have nothing else of interest to say or do," Bec said cheekily. "I should get back to work though, I'm sure there's probably been more trouble over Vivyra since I've been in here with you." She stood and stretched. "Unless you need something else of me?"
"Nothing, right now, Bec. Just figure this out. We'll touch back on this all soon."
